Choquequirao is an archaeological center that dates
from the Inca period. Is majestic as Machupichu, the only way to get to this place is walking, there are several roads that reach the place, for now the busiest and safest is through the district of Cachora.
If you are thinking of traveling and adventuring on your own, it is possible but you need to take the corresponding precautions since all adventure trekking has certain risks.
If you do not have much experience in mountain walks, it is recommended to opt for the option of organized groups with official tourism guides.
You need a minimum experience in mountain walks and have a physical condition from medium to good, since the walk demands a lot of physical effort.
On the way you can find all the basic services such as food, lodging, hot shower, Wi-Fi, etc.
If you bring camping equipment, all places have spaces to camp.
If you think that you cannot do it, you could only hire the services of a muleteer and a mule to help carry the luggage or ride.
In the following there is an alternative program that can help organize your trip.
We have private transportation service:
Cusco – Capuliyoc one way
– taxi from 1 to 4 people 300 soles.
– taxi of 5 people 350 soles.
– car from 6 to 10 people 450 soles.
– car from 11 to 15 people 600 soles.
– car from 16 to 20 people 800 soles.
taxi service one way :
Horse and muleter service
This service is contracted from the beginning of the trek until the return depending on the days that you are on the trek.
This service you have to contract at least one day before the day of travel. Finding muleteers and horses at the last minute is very difficult
There are no cars that go directly to the beginning of the walk, stops are made during the trip. Or if you want a private car we can coordinate it internally but the cost will be a little more.

RECOMMENDATIONS
If you do not have much experience in hiking with a strong level, it is recommended to rent a horse to ride the climb (50 soles for a horse + 80 soles for the muleteer per day).
What happens frequently is that Horse is required for the last day
only for return.
The price of this is 100 soles for the horse and 100 soles for the muleteer and they pick you up from the Apurimac river to the Capuliyoc viewpoint, 1 muleteer can take up to 3 horses. More of them is already dangerous.
The riding horse allows you only to go up but not down.
Extra luggage is not really necessary, a pair of polo shirts, trusses and extra pants may be enough. In case you want to rent a horse to carry your things 1 horse + muleteer 130 soles per day.
It is highly recommended to bring trekking poles.
Very important rain poncho, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, hat or sun hat, fruits, cookies, water.
It is recommended to bring portable chargers since the energy in each
